About Us

Cherish (Reach and Connect) is a vital resource for individuals aged 50 and above who are experiencing loneliness or isolation. 

From our dedicated centre in Southport, we provide:-

• Friendship, information and support.
• Signposting to other relevant services in the area.
• Regular social events, classes, and groups.

Events, classes and groups include: -

• Art & craft groups.
• Bingo & food.
• Board games group.
• Entertainment.
• Friendship Café.
• Lip reading group.
• Music groups.
• Theatre group.
• Writing group.

We also hold our annual Cherish Christmas which takes place on Christmas day. At this fantastic event we have a two course meal with entertainment - all free of charge. This event continues to grow each year (2023 we had 67 guests.) We rely totally on the community, volunteers, funders and local businesses to support Cherish Christmas.
